Long day

Today I am sitting in a bed at KSB hospital to get a blood transfusion...I'm going to be here pretty late since I am getting two units over 3 hours each...kind of frustrating but I need it for my surgery...I will be here till maybe 8 or later and then I have to go home and do dialysis...

And then I found out I have to be at OSF tomorrow at 10 in the morning...for my surgery that is scheduled for 2:30...maybe they are moving it to earlier in the day...so today will be a long day...and tomorrow will be a long day...so being grouchy tomorrow may be upped a notch..at first it was just going to be because I was hungry...but now I will be tired too...I will just be a joy to be around...

Also I forgot to mention in my last post...If you think of it it would be really cool if you all would wear your BB shirts if you have them...or purple..tomorrow - that's Thursday...in support for me...I am pretty nervous about this especially now with needing to get blood last minute...I really want to get this mass out of me so I can feel better...but there are a lot of complications...and I keep thinking of all the things that can go wrong...

So keep me in your prayers tomorrow if you think of it...

Scars

I said quite some time ago that I would post a picture of my newest scar...and then I forgot...when I remembered I thought why not just do a post about my scars...I know people who have tattoos and show those off...but I don't have those instead my story is etched on my body in a different way...so here it is...and in some of them I tried to circle scars that I thought were hard to see but it may end up being easier to see them without my attempt at helping... So these first two are obviously of my stomach...the scar with the one by it is hard to see but that scar is over 20 inches long...it wraps around my left side...you can see the end of it in the picture below...that is from my first transplant from when I was 8...the scar with the 2 by it is from my most recent transplant...which as you can tell is much smaller and is still a little red because it's still healing...the three scars circled under my belly button in the bright blue are from dialysis when I was 21 mon...

A few quick notes before I get into what I really want to talk about

1st - I know I have said it before but gosh I love living in a small town...this week so many people did cool things for us...like some anonymous person paying for the repair work we had done on mom's car which included new tires...or Venier's fixing dad's pocket watch for free...that's like the fourth free thing they have done for us...ya'll are too good to us... 2nd - My iron IV on Wednesday went ok I felt a little sickish afterwards but they did give it to me kind of fast...and Thursday I was sick part of the day too...but no big deal...and my hemoglobin went up...when it was drawn on Monday it was 6.6 then when it was drawn on Wednesday it was 7.3...so that was pretty great...also on a health note a have a few people who are trying to get tested right now as possible donors so we will see where that goes... 3rd - I had a great time on Thursday watching the rain fall and people pass the house while I was sitting on the front porch with my dad first and then m...

A little way in advance preview

I am not sure why I am doing this but my cousin Lisa tagged me in hers. Usually I ignore these things but I figure maybe if I talk about it and put part of it out there it will motivate me to work on it some more.  What is the working title of your book or project? Well hopefully it will be a book about my life. And the title would be the same as my blog probably Stories of a Real Life Wonder Woman Where did the idea come from for your book or project? People keep telling me to write a book about my life...they have been all my life. And I want to publish a book so I am slowly working on this. What genre does it fall under, if any? It would be an autobiography. If applicable, whom would you choose to play your characters in a movie? Um well it would be people playing me and my family and friends.
