I'm going to try to keep this short and sweet

First I love having my cousins Cassie around...she got in on Thursday and she might be here for a while and I am loving getting to spend time with her...she makes me laugh so much and I love seeing how much we are alike even though we didn't grow up together...

This week and the weeks before I have been loving celebrating...and it was so great to be able to do that even more at Lance and Krystle's wedding last night...let me tell you me and my friends tore up the dance floor...we were out there for almost every song...and I felt like I new the coolest kid there when Adam would bust out his moves...dang that kid can dance...

Anyways there were a couple of times when I couldn't believe what was going on and how much better I was doing from this point last year when I couldn't even walk up and down the stairs without getting worn out...and then ended up losing 20 pounds...I am doing so much better now...and when they played Dynamite by Taio Cruz you can bet I sang along super loud when he sings "I wanna celebrate and live my life"...cause oh my gosh I do just want to celebrate still being alive and celebrate starting to feel great...and I am so glad that I get to enjoy all these things with my friends and family like weddings and graduations and even just hanging out today with my family for mother's day...I can enjoy it all...

And then they played this song as one of the last songs...


And well I love this song...at our house it's known as the Rob Dyrdek song because in the Chevy sonic commercial where he does the kick flip car they play this song...

Anywho I loved singing along to this song with some of my friends and then looking over and seeing my friends that were leaving standing on some of the chairs and singing as well...gosh it just made me feel so good and so glad that I feel like I can actually be a part of the fun they are having...I don't have to sit on the side just watching anyone...I can get out there and enjoy being young with them and not act as much like an old lady...

It feels dang good to have energy...to be young and feel young...to be able to celebrate living and have a real smile on my face...it feels good to be alive...

I said quite some time ago that I would post a picture of my newest scar...and then I forgot...when I remembered I thought why not just do a post about my scars...I know people who have tattoos and show those off...but I don't have those instead my story is etched on my body in a different way...so here it is...and in some of them I tried to circle scars that I thought were hard to see but it may end up being easier to see them without my attempt at helping... So these first two are obviously of my stomach...the scar with the one by it is hard to see but that scar is over 20 inches long...it wraps around my left side...you can see the end of it in the picture below...that is from my first transplant from when I was 8...the scar with the 2 by it is from my most recent transplant...which as you can tell is much smaller and is still a little red because it's still healing...the three scars circled under my belly button in the bright blue are from dialysis when I was 21 mon

It’s been a while

Hey there, So it’s been a while. I wish I could say I was returning with amazingly great news about life or some mind blowing tidbit about Jesus. But I think by now if you are reading this or have rread any of my posts in the past you know that is not this blog. Having a blog that mostly chronicals the downs of being a person with a chronic illness means that posting again after a bit of a hiatus can really only mean one thing - more downs to report. After Moving Day

Health update - I have been feeling better since starting this medication. The side effects were a little rough at first but I think my body has adjusted since I have been feeling much better and have energy again. Mom and Dad moved into their newly remodeled house this weekend and I am so happy for them. They have needed a one story house for a few years since they have been talking about it even before Dad's accident. We have already created so many fun memories and stories to tell during the renovation that I can't wait to see what other adventures this house has for our family. Often during this move I have felt like other people have been more attached to my parents house than my family. Sure my brother, sister and I all grew up in that house and we had a lot of fun memories in that house. But a four bedroom, two level house was too much house for my parents to live in alone.
